It was good to meet you today. You helped us make a memorable segment.
Best,
Richard Brookhiser, author-Alexander Hamilton, American
Just a quick note to tell you that I really enjoyed your presentation today. While the humor and storytelling were outstanding, I particularly enjoyed your eagerness to engage in the political and philosophical discussions that would have been so exciting for Hamilton. Talking to you really brought the man to life for me, and also reminded me of the extent to which the debates of his day remain the debates of our own.
Thanks for a fun and engaging afternoon!

Ian’s interpretation was a ‘knock out. I began to wonder if Ian could pull it off with this audience? Could he bring Hamilton to life for curious adults, knowledgeable grand parents and squirming, other wise detracted, kids? He did! He used just the right mix of historical anecdotes, solid historical references ands splendid interaction with his audience. Sometimes, using Hamilton’s cynicism he revealed the soul of the man himself.
I looked at the kids and the adults starring intently at this man who said he was Alexander Hamilton and I knew what had happened. They had suspended their disbelief. For a moment, that summer afternoon, they believed he was Alexander Hamilton. In their rational minds they knew he wasn’t really Hamilton, but they wanted to believe and because of his skill, for a moment they believed.

Author John Cunningham The Uncertain Revolution,
When asked how he liked Ian Rose’s performance, author John Cunningham said it was pretty close to the real thing.
“I knew him,” said John, a twinkle in his eye.
Meaning the original Alexander Hamilton.
Your program was fabulous! Maggie called about 9:45 and raved. She said you were magnificent. She said the students loved it.

For the Hamilton/Jefferson Debates-
My class just got back from the presentation and it was AWESOME! They got the students involved, kept them engaged, made them laugh, and taught them some things along the way! – Amy Kilburn, Reyburn Intermediate School
I cannot praise the two men that came to our school enough. I have taught for 21 years and I had more teacher compliments from this assembly than any that has been given at our school. THANK YOU!!! – Diana Swanson, Mary Tsukamoto Elementary School
Oh my gosh! The assembly was amazing and my students loved it. They couldn't stop talking about how fun, engaging, and informative it was! They were so excited to be involved and to take part. These two men were absolutely fantastic! I want them every year so NEVER stop doing this program. - Patricia Dunn
People are still raving about the wonderful job you and Steve did....The programs were a roaring success! I have heard from one person after another raving about all the programs from the school presentations to the dinner to the Dames meeting.
